MTCfilm:
Cinema that contextualizes our live performances.
The Miami Theater Center is pleased to announce its major film initiative, MTCfilm. MTC will partner with O Cinema to manage and present screenings of art-house and independent films at our venue in Miami Shores. A full schedule can be viewed on our website at www.mtcmiami.org or at www.O-cinema.org.
Inaugural Screening: Blue Skies
Blue Skies (starring Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire and Joan Caulfield) will be the inaugural film screened by MTCfilm on Oct. 13 at 7 p.m., coinciding with a family-friendly street fair in the Village of Miami Shores. Blue Skies was also the first movie shown at the theater in 1946, when the venue opened as Paramount Movies.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12, with ample free parking available on the street and in public lots on 98th Street and Second Avenue. Only 150 tickets are available for this special event.
Plus: Save the Date!
Miami Theater Center will be hosting a Wizard of Oz sing-a-long at MTC at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 4, 2013. More details will be available soon.
